Again, I don't know about you, but I've had some pretty awesome feeling days when some not so great stuff has happened.

And then there are the folks that tell us we've got to "take inspired action" and that's going to attract all of our desires.

The problem with inspired action is that it can take some pretty heavy duty personal development work to get to where you can even know which actions are truly inspired!

So what do we do?

Well, the first thing to do is acknowledge that there is truth in all of those paths: Positive Thinking, Powerful Emotions, Inspired Action all lead in the right direction. And with enough work and time and patience you will get what you want by following one of these paths.

However, there is a missing piece to this attraction puzzle, a piece that, when we find it, can pull all of these other pieces together into a whole that is far greater than the sum of the parts.

What's the missing piece?

Energy!

Regardless of what you've been told or what you believe, working with energy is really not that hard and anyone can learn how to do it. I mean...

First let's dispel some myths about energy because it's really not as Woo-Woo as you might imagine:

Just think about how many phrases we have that deal with our connection to energy:

In most cases, when people use phrases like these, they are talking about their physical energy level. But is it really possible to isolate our physical energy?

When we don't get enough sleep our energy level is usually low the next day.

But have you ever pulled an "all-nighter" working on something you were passionate about and felt wide awake in the morning?

When we don't eat enough or well, our energy level usually drops.

But, on the other hand, have you ever been so engrossed in a project that you worked for hours without even noticing you were hungry.

When you're in a "funk" your energy usually drops.

But have you ever experienced an instant energy boost when something unexpectedly positive happens?

And how about the burst of energy that comes with the "first kiss?"

What is that tingling and aliveness you feel when you see a beautiful sunset or the smiling face of a child?

Where does that energy come from?

What is the difference between staying up all night worrying about a big meeting the next day and staying up all night working on your book or song or the website for your business?

Even though there's no apparent difference on a physical level - either way, we're up all night! - the way we feel in the morning is very different!

So something else must be different?

I believe it is the energy that runs through our personal energy systems.

When we're doing something we love our energy comes alive.

When we're doing something because we "should" or we "have to" our energy gets suppressed.

Wouldn't it be great to have systems and tools for increasing your energy at will, not at the whim of the world around you?
